Transformational
Management
William F.
Christopher
To
accomplish continuous improvement and innovation - twin themes for
sustained organization success - we need new, and new again, thinking,
including:
Systems
Thinking - applying the thinking of general systems theory and cybernetics
in organization structure, information flow, and leadership.
Management Economics - applying new and useful concepts, methods,
and measures from economics (in addition to and different from accounting)
to improve decision making at all levels.
Behavior and Motivation Theory - developing and unleashing human
potential for personal growth and organization success.
Sustainability - including all related systems in structure and
information flow for success today, and also for tomorrow.
Productivity and Innovation - Making use
of the above to measure and improve productivity and to inspire
creativity and innovation.
